Bluetooth 6.1, the latest standard announced by the Bluetooth SIG, is designed to improve user privacy on compatible devices. Expected to arrive on devices by 2026, the new standard also promises improved power efficiency. Following the Bluetooth SIG’s shift to a bi-annual release cycle, the next iteration of Bluetooth is anticipated in the second half of 2025.
