Samsung and Apple are reportedly developing technology for larger smartphone battery capacities, without significantly increasing thickness. New batteries with improved capacities are expected to arrive in future flagship models. Chinese smartphone makers are said to be working on phones with 8,000mAh batteries that could debut later this year.
