A US federal appeals court has upheld a law requiring ByteDance to divest its popular short video app TikTok in the US by early 2025, ahead of an upcoming deadline. The decision from the appeals court increases the chances that TikTok will face an unprecedented ban in six weeks, that could cut off access to the service for 170 million users in the country.
