Apple’s iOS 18.1 update added a new ‘Inactivity Reboot’ security feature that restarts a user’s smartphone if it remains unlocked for three days, thereby protecting the device’s data from unauthorised access. A security researcher has discovered the ‘inactivity reboot’ function included in the latest iOS update kicks in after 72 hours of inactivity.
