Microsoft has forecast an increase in spending on AI this quarter and warned of slower growth in its cloud business Azure, even as the company beat Wall Street’s estimates for first-quarter revenue and profit.. The Redmond company has signalled that big AI investments were not enough to keep pace with capacity constraints at its data centres.
