Google on Friday labelled the US Justice Department’s plan to sell its web browser as “extreme” and legally flawed, cautioning a judge against stifling future innovation. In a court filing, the search giant proposed its own remedy, arguing the Chrome sale doesn’t match the illegal conduct involving exclusive contracts with browsers, manufacturers, and carriers.
