AMD has announced that it will acquire server manufacturer ZT Systems as the company looks to compete with Nvidia in terms of hardware and AI chips. The Taiwanese firm says that intends to finance 75 percent of the $4.9 billion acquisition with cash, while it plans to pay the remaining portion in stock.
