Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II eschews traditional video game narrative beats and tropes in favour of telling a more complex and clouded tale about guilt, confrontation and the powers that corrupt people to the point where they can become unrecognisable. It’s a flawed, but uncompromising cinematic achievement in the medium of video games.
